Why you should do things for the sake of doing them
The world has disillusioned us to believe every action we take must have an end goal. That there must be something to achieve at the end of the finish line.
A ticked off to do list
A goal to achieve
We are always running, Striving to convince ourselves we are enough.
The world has convinced us to have a pragmatic approach to our lives.
Strive for a goal
Achieve it
Restart another goal
Rinse and repeat
But what if we just did things for the sole sake of doing them. Simply for the experience rather than any specific outcomes.
To experience
To experience is to enjoy the fluidity of things.
It’s to immerse ourselves into the rhythm of an activity.
An experience doesn’t need an end goal.
It’s not supposed to hand you a medal for simply existing in the elixir of things.
You should be able to try new things without the propensity to be good at it.
You should be able to enjoy something without any clear goal or expectation.
The great things about experiences is that they fill up your soul.
You learn by simply existing
Experiences builds up your thought process, brightens your imagination and makes you view the world through colorful lens.
Experiences shape the person you are without you even realizing it.
And sometimes maybe it’s the things done unconsciously or performed without great effort that are the things that truly make us who we are.
While its good to strive, strategize and plan our every step in life, Its also good to listen to the quiet flutters of our heart.
To simply bask in the beauty of things.
To be like a flower with the wind taking us away.
